Situated in an elevated position with rear views across the open countryside, this striking 4,000 sq. ft contemporary residence represents a masterclass in modern remodelling. The project involved the strategic demolition of two-thirds of the original structure to make way for a bold architectural vision defined by sharp angled gables and expansive glazing and selective material palette.

Features

  • 5 spacious bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, and expansive open-plan bespoke living areas framed by dramatic angled gables.

  • The Glazed Link: A stunning glass architectural connection leading from the main house to the garage with a floating staircase leading up to a games room and gym.

  • Entertainment & Wellness: A fully equipped home cinema and library. The wellness space includes an outdoor deck level swim spa and hot tub.

  • Future-Proof Technology, seamlessly integrated smart tech, advanced technology, security, and high-efficiency building systems including a 36 panel solar array combined with battery storage.

A sweeping, curved hourglass staircase design that serves as the architectural centrepiece of a contemporary open hallway and entrance. The staircase expands dramatically at the base with wide, welcoming flared steps. The stair and glass balusterade taper gently before opening back out as it ascends towards the perfectly circular galleried landing.

A deep cantilevered canopy projects over the glass doors, featuring an under-clad finish of warm, cedar timber battens that add texture and warmth. This element introduces an organic touch to the design while providing effective solar shading and reliable weather protection.

A large, multi-panel sliding glass door system framed in a sleek black matte finish opens directly onto the porcelain paved terrace.

A spacious open-plan living area designed for comfort and sociability, centred around a charming log burner that adds warmth and atmosphere on cooler evenings. Large windows frame stunning panoramic views, filling the room with natural light and creating a seamless connection between interior and landscape. Plush seating, natural materials and thoughtful lighting create a relaxed, welcoming ambience—perfect for quiet mornings with a book or lively gatherings with friends and family.

Structural glazed roof and glazed link, complemented by a floating oak and glass stairway that adds warmth and visual lightness.

Custom-designed cabinetry throughout the property

The two main front facing gables cantilever over 1m at the apex and taper to meet the wall below at ground level. A combination of inbound and hidden gutters integrated into the metal roof ensure clean lines.

A deck-level swim spa and hot tub combine functional fitness and relaxed soaking in a single integrated installation. The swim spa offers a continuous, adjustable current for swimming, aquatic exercise and rehabilitation, while the adjoining hot tub provides warmed, seated hydrotherapy for recovery and socialising. Placing both at deck level creates easy access, and a cohesive aesthetic that integrates with the terrace.

The metal roof delivers durable weather protection and low maintenance, while the angular dormer cheeks introduce visual interest, improve natural light and frame views.

The balconies feature structural frameless glass panels, providing a clear, uninterrupted view of the surrounding landscape.
